Pastor Jason Harris

Jason was born in Meridian, Mississippi, where he spent much of his early childhood before moving to Wake Forest, North Carolina. Jason completed an undergraduate education in Christian ministry at Baptist Bible College in Clark’s Summit, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Divinity at The Expositor’s Seminary in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Before entering vocational ministry, he spent ten years working in emergency services and also served as a Law Enforcement Chaplain. Jason has served in pastoral ministry in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania and also received pastoral training at Twin City Bible Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 2022, he came to Desert Ridge Baptist Church with a desire to see Christ glorified in Southern Utah.

Jason has been married to his wonderful wife, Christine, since 2007, and they have two boys, Macon and Weston. They enjoy spending time together in the great outdoors and beholding God’s majesty through His creation.

Pastor Cory Scheid

Cory Scheid grew up in Southern California, where he spent his childhood and adult life. He was saved by the Lord in 2010 and soon began serving in youth ministry as a youth leader for six years. Following this, Cory helped plant Revolve Bible Church in San Juan Capistrano, CA, where he served for eight years. He received pastoral training at Revolve Bible Church and served as a Lay Elder there for five years. Professionally, Cory has spent twelve years in the finance industry. In 2025, he came to Desert Ridge Baptist Church with a desire to serve DRBC, the local church, and to see Christ exalted in Utah.

Cory has been married to his wife, Courtney, for thirteen years. They have two children, Levi and Janey. Cory enjoys spending time with his family at the lake, hiking, and coaching his son’s football team.
